Goku's Story...

This beautiful yorkie boy is 4 years old and weighs 6 lbs. Goku came to us from a shelter on the Texas-Mexico. He is a very happy, sweet boy who arrived at TXCR with a terrible haircut and demodex mange (noncontagious), but the haircut was an easy fix and his skin is on the mend! He is receiving treatment and just needs time and good nutrition for his skin to clear and his hair to grow in.

If you would like to adopt Goku, please fill out an application at His adoption fee, including transportation to PA with vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goku, a Pittsburgh Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
