My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Iris is a beautiful 13-month-old black German Shepherd who was reluctantly surrendered to Kiko’s care by a very busy family who also had another young dog in the home. She can be shy when meeting new people, and may even bark at first, but once she gets to know you she's all in. Iris is very docile and calm, and walks well on leash. She is currently in foster care with two other dogs her size and a cat. Iris loves her outings to the dog park but never goes very far out of her foster mom’s sight. While she gets along well with other dogs, she is very focused on her people and aims to please. Iris will need some refreshing in her commands but is as smart as a whip and learns quickly. A typical German Shepherd, she will whine and talk when she gets excited. Iris loves kisses, cuddles and to be praised, and offers a lifetime of love and happiness to the right adopter. Her ideal home will be active, breed experienced and ready to welcome her as an important new family member. In addition to regular walks, a large backyard in the suburbs or the country would suit Iris best. If you have the time and experience to devote to the lovely Iris, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website. Iris will be at our next adoption day at Mon Ami in Kirkland on Saturday, May 13. Details and a link to a Google map can be found on our website.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm (if deemed necessary), microchipped, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($300 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.
