If you're looking for a handsome pup, who enjoys your company and loves being rubbed then you've found him! Tenzin is an active boy who loves walks, fetching, and playing with toys. He has done great with commands, is crate trained, house trained, and very food driven. He does well with some doggy play time, but would do best in a home where he is the only dog.
Although he has been around younger children he would do best in a family with no young children, teenagers would be ok. Tenzin is a very smart boy and can be a little pushy at times. He can also be protective over food and toys. He has been going through training to help with these issues and has been doing well. He will do great in a home suited for his specific needs.
If you are interested in adopting Tenzin please email SLN2310@yahoo.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Tenzin's adoption donation is $250 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
