Greta needs a NEW FOSTER or FOREVER home!

Greta came to us from Waterbury Dog Pound in October, 2016.

Her foster family has done some great things with Greta :) She was a butterball when she first came to us - now she is slimmed down to a healthy weight. They have worked hard with her to reinforce basics. She does well walking on a leash and knows her commands.

Greta is a slightly older lady - about 8 years old - a Jack Russell / chihuahua mix - who ideally needs a quiet home. A lot of activity in the home makes her nervous.

She is not a big fan of being crated, but will deal with going into the crate and having the door closed as long as there's a treat involved - and once in there, she is fine. She also isn't all that enthusiastic about living with other dogs and will do best as an only dog. She is, however, just fine with cats!

Greta will do best in an adult home, with a family who can give her lots of attention and snuggles. She would be a terrific family member for a retired person or couple, or a single adult with a quiet life style.

About Furry Friends Foster and Rescue Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an animal rescue working to save animals from bad situations, care for any medical or behavioral needs, and place them in wonderful forever homes. Dogs in our rescue mainly come from municipal pounds within CT. We also take owner surrenders and occasionally will take dogs from outside of CT, if we have room in the rescue and the dog's or cat's situation is urgent.

We are approved as a 501c3 public charity by the Internal Revenue Service, are a tax exempt public charity with the State of CT, and hold an active CT animal import license.

Our Adoption Process...

Anyone wanting to adopt one of our animals must first fill out an application. We check personal, vet, and landlord references (if applicable). If the application is approved we will schedule a home visit by one of our volunteers. Once you are fully approved to adopt, we will schedule a meet and greet with the dog in our rescue, and all family members and other pets. If everyone agrees, you will be able to adopt.
