Dexter's Info...

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dexter's Story...
Dexter is currently living in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin.

My mom was a purebred doberman!
All I know is that I'm cute as can be and I love getting attention! I am super snuggly and I love to bury my face in the neck of anyone holding me. I love to play with toys, other dogs and all people! I would be a great pup for any adopter. I like children and play well with them and love to share cuddle time. I currently weigh about 18-20lbs. My foster mom says I'm pretty mellow for a puppy and very laid back. I'm doing well on my crate training - so long as you remember I'm small and need to go out often. House training is also going well.

Because I am a baby, my adopter will need to neuter me at 6 months old and take me to a puppy class!

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Fort Atkinson Doberman Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
