Eli is an adorable little shih tzu of about 4 years old that would just love a family that will keep him safe and love him forever. Eli has been let down by people before, that's evidenced by his initial distrust of new people that he meets. Who can blame him? He likely had a home and family of his own, then was found as a stray and that family never came looking for him. He tends to be a little leery at first but once Eli gets to know you, he just couldn't be any sweeter. He has a soft and loving side and hopes that you will give him the chance to show that. Eli is well behaved and doesn't seem to mind other dogs that he passes by. When you see him in his area, please don't judge him by his defensive behavior. Ask to see him outside and let him give you the sniff-test. He'll be your best buddy in no time. Eli will be your most loyal and loving companion if you welcome him into your life. File#27199 3/29/17
