Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chewey is an 11 year old male Shih Tzu who weighs 16 pounds. This sweet boy is deaf AND blind. Can you imagine? That has to be terrifying enough, now add in that your owner surrendered you. We could not help but reach out, open our hearts and arms and convey to him that he is safe with us.
According to the owner surrender form, Chewey is an absolute love. He gets along with people, dogs and cats. He's friendly and quiet, has no bad habits, walks well on a leash, likes baths and grooming. We don't know how long he's been blind and/or deaf but it's apparently long enough that he's learned to get by because they stated he roams freely through the house. Quite the adaptor!
He is up to date on all his shots and is neutered. Needless to say, he requires a Forever Home that understands a special needs dog and has an abundance of tenderness, loving kindness and empathy to offer him. Just writing this, my heart aches for him. If you are one of the angels on earth, we invite you to fill out an application and let this boy know love and security for the rest of his Life. Thank you.
We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to the adoption application. Here is the link:
