And now, a few words from me

Foster mom says I'm as gentle as can be!  I am comfortable around other dogs.  I'm learning how to play with toys and with my foster sister Mica.   She's a senior and very calm and I like that! Cuddles, scratches behind the ears are really nice and I really relax when foster mom gives me a full gentle massage!  This is so different from the life I had living in a cage.  No one cared for me.

And now, a few words from my foster mom:

Mandy is a sweet gentle girl that is gradually coming out of her shell. Mandy came from a mass breeding facility and didn't have much positive interaction in her early life but that is all changing. She is cautious initially until she feels comfortable to approach and is certain she will not be harmed. Mandy will allow cuddles and affection. Security and love overcomes all hesitancy given time.  This is common mill dog behaviour. Potty training is moving in a positive direction and she is learning quickly.  She really enjoys the positive attention and is learning that life is good.   She can be playful and a bit goofy at times when she feels comfortable. She shows no aggression at all but will just retreat if she is overwhelmed.  Oh Mandy LOVES wind and the feeling of it on her. The freedom that it gives her and the scents that flow by! A fenced yard is required for Mandy as is a companion dog.  She takes cues from the other dogs and this will help her to move forward.

Mandy would do well in a home with older children and a quieter home where she would not feel overwhelmed by all the new things she will be exposed to.  Her new family with love, patience and time, will continue to build Mandy's trust and confidence.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog who was kept in a cage all its life, blossom.  Gentle Mandy needs someone to love her for the rest of her life and show her how wonderful it can be.  This gentle girl deserves the best.

Our Adoption Process...

In order to adopt from us, you need to complete an adoption application. Follow this link

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed for suitability, and if yes, we will book a telephone interview with you, and check the veterinary and personal references that you provided. If that goes well, a home visit will be booked, and if your home is safe, the adoption can proceed. You will be required to execute and adoption contract and pay a set adoption fee
