My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read Emily's WHOLE bio before deciding to email. Emily came to us as an incredibly shy, scared out of her mind, mill dog rescue. She had no socialization in the past and we had our work cut with her. Emily has lived like this for the past 6 years. After almost a YEAR of foster care, Emily has become silly, playful, house broken, leash trained and a cuddler. She is pretty NORMAL with her foster family so she will need time to adjust again. Emily has to have a check list to adopt her, she is a very special girl to us and we want to find her the prefect matched home.
1. A fenced yard would be a must, she loves to run and play in it.
2. Another dog in the house that is silly and playful too. Her best friend is a 6 year old Boxer so she is not picky. More then one dog is fine too.
3. A family that has time and patience. Emily will trust her new people and loves to go for walks. Walks = trust in a dogs world. Shy dog experience is a plus !
4. Emily's current foster home is a younger couple that has shy dog experience,but is also an active home with 3 other dogs and a 6 year old girl that knows Emily's boundaries. We feel Emily would do well in the same set up. You can find an application at www.stlsdp.org. This is the first step in the adoption process.

Adoption Donation $295 includes spay, dental training, love and care for the past year. Emily has bee heart worm tested and is micro chipped.
