My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rowdy: 4 yr old (12/18/2012) stag red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. ", 16.4 lb. Fully vetted. Owner give-up.
Rowdy is a beautifully bred, stag red young man, just turned 4 years old, with a thick, butter-soft coat and waggy backside! Everyone is his friend, he knows no strangers. He was adopted from a shelter, but was then turned into rescue after living isolated outside for 6 months. The isolation took its toll, he became stressed, obsessed with food, and gained too much weight too fast. But he's been on a diet and has been shedding weight reasonably. Rowdy reportedly got out of the house or yard often, and always crossed the road to a neighbor's house to visit their kids. The home just wasn't a match, but we're sure we can help him find his forever family! Rowdy is delightful young man, cuddly and a pleasure to hold. He has gotten along well with other dogs in rescue, sometimes running zoomies around the yard. With people he is quiet, attentive and fun to be around. We think Rowdy might do well with older kids, good escape prevention, and managing his transition to prevent signs of stress when he first comes to his forever home. We've got this down, and are happy to share!
