A NICE OLDER FELLOW:  10 years old / Currently 34 lbs. and needs to lose a lot of weight  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. I came to MM’s very overweight, so I’m on a diet to help me get back to a healthy weight. I’ll want my new family to continue helping me with this please.  I’m a friendly guy who loves being petted and will soak up all the love you can give. Of course, I’ll return that love too!  I walk well on a leash which is great since walks will continue to help me lose weight, I can even go for a short trot with you and I love being outside with my people. I know the commands ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ so far and you can teach me even more. I haven’t showed any interest in toys yet, but that may change in my new home. Hard surfaced floors are new to me, so at first, they really frightened me, but I’m slowly getting accustomed to them. I can be a little nervous of new things, but you can show me that it’s alright! My potty manners have been great on the shelter schedule so hopefully that will translate to potty trained in a home. I came in with a friend named Walker L, so if you’re looking for 2 nice dog pals, you could consider us together but we don’t have to be adopted together. I've been good with all the dogs I've met while at the Mostly Mutts shelter. If you have a dog in your home, let’s meet and see if we can be great friends!  I bark a good bit when left in my crate at the shelter and don’t know if I’ll do that in a home or not, so maybe best no apartment/condo type homes just in case.  I’m friendly and really looking forward to getting into a great home! Sadly, I wasn't kept on Heart Worm prevention in my previous home, so I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in a few months and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with one of their vets. I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!  I met some kids at the MM shelter, and I like them a lot, but best no toddlers that I may bump over. Energy level: 3–5.  Likely a little higher once I lose weight. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $100.00.

About Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption

About Our Rescue Group...

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!
Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
