Adopt Charlotte! She is a one-year-old Pit Bull/American Bulldog mix. Charlotte is white with cream-colored markings, dark soulful eyes, and weighs about 65 lbs. Charlotte was brought to the Downey Shelter by a nice person who found her wandering the streets. We are not sure what Charlotte went through before the shelter, but she was severely underweight and confused about the world around her. We brought her to our kennel in South Gate where she learned how to socialize with dogs and to enjoy human touch.
Charlotte has made incredible progress since we met her at the shelter. It has been amazing to watch her transform into a happy, loving dog. Currently, she is living in a foster home with another dog. She is very dog social and loves to play with her foster brother and especially her neighbor canine friend, Sparkles. Charlotte is crate-trained and has learned how to sit, fetch and use the doggie door. Some of her favorite things are food, her Kong and basketball, kiddie-pool time, playing fetch, cuddles and belly rubs. She will do well in a home with or without dog siblings. She is a sweet girl who is more than deserving of a second chance! Come meet her!
