Harvey's Story...
Meet Harvey the Magnificent! He is one outgoing cat on the lookout for a loving forever home he can call his own. He is a very confident cat that likes to always be in the thick of things. Harvey is very talkative and will rub up against your legs, meowing at you to get your attention. He loves to be pet but likes to keep moving around while he is getting showered with affection. If you hold him, he'll nuzzle his head against your chin but will soon start squirming to be put down. Harvey is also a playful cat that would love to have a variety of toys to play with. Harvey is used to the indoor/outdoor lifestyle and will want to continue to do so. He seems very at ease around other cats and would likely enjoy having a feline friend in his new home. Harvey seems confident enough to live with a mellow dog that won't chase him. He needs a home with teenagers or adults only because he may scratch if he gets overstimulated. If you would like to meet Harvey, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application so you can spend some quality time with him today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
