What a sweet and kind Corgi - Long Haired Dachsund mix Gizmo is! At about 4 years old, Gizmo is an incredibly adorable girl. We were so lucky to find her and be able to rescue her from euthanasia in a high-kill shelter. When she was identified with a great temperament, Farfel's spoke up to bring Gizmo to safety (and her new forever family) in Colorado.
Farfel's Rescue has determined that Gizmo needs a mellow home where she is an active and important member of the family. We believe that Gizmo would blossom in an adult home (active retirees would be perfect) where there's a more predictable environment. She would be overjoyed to spend parts of the day together either hiking or walking through the beauty of Colorado.
Gizmo / Tessa (like all dogs) would benefit from positive reinforcement group obedience classes that included the whole family (Farfel's is happy to provide a list of force free trainers in your area). Great training will give Gizmo the skills to be an excellent adult dog and create a tightly-knit bond with all family members.
Gizmo / Tessa will be up to date on her vetting. We're hoping that she will be spayed when she arrives from New Mexico. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too few vets is this area of New Mexico. If she is not, Farfel's will cover all costs for Gizmo to be spayed and microchipped by our vet in Denver to be in line with our commitment to be part of the solution to pet overpopulation.
Gizmo / Tessa will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 5/13/17. Applications are currently being accepted for this very adorable girl.
