Paws Crossed Dog Rescue serves the Eastern Panhandle of WV and surrounding communities. Please read 'Adoption Info' on the left side of our website.
Carl comes to us from southern WV, where he was turned into the shelter as an owner surrender because he was no longer wanted.
He's a sweet little boy, and will charm you with his personality and unconditional love. He's fine with cats. He would do better in a home with older children, as young kids stress him out. We always consider house training skills as a work in progress when dogs are new to our rescue.
Carl was a very nervous dog when he came to our rescue. He was head-shy, and did not like to be picked up. Just a couple weeks in his foster home, and he's learning to trust again! We're able to pick him up & love on him without stressing him out. He has a wagging tail and is thriving in his foster home! We know he's going to be a great family companion. He'll need a home with lots of patience, and one that allows him time to decompress without too much stimulation.
Rescued dogs go through many changes while acclimating to their new environments. We will post updates as we learn more about Carl.
