Bailey is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Bailey is currently fostered in St. Pete.

Bailey is a cattle dog mixed with perhaps husky or Norwegian Elkhound. She is 11 months old and 31 lbs. She is high energy and needs basic house rules enforced - we are still giving her reminders about the counters and garbage cans. She is a fast learner and very smart. She has a lot of potential in the right hands! She does not have herding drive and would make a great companion. As with most husky mixes off leash/unfenced play is not recommended. She is very sweet and gentle with older kids, but has not been tested with younger ones. She gets a bit overwhelmed in large pack situations and can be dog-selective,  so we recommend she be homed as an only dog or with one other doggie friend. Bailey is up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, spayed and microchipped.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
