***Mama Mia got LUCKY and has an adoption pending so we are no longer accepting applications for her but she would love if you would check out some of her other friends on our website!***

Come meet Mama Mia and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 28) from 12-2 pm at the Rockville Petco (1507 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852)!!!!!

Name: Mama Mia    Best Guess for Breed: Golden Retriever mix

Best Guess for Age: 2 years old as of 5/14/17     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 37 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: A cold, scary shelter and needs to jailbreak to a safe foster home!

Mama Mia is a 2 year old, 37 pound Golden Retriever mix who is in desperate need of a loving family. She doesn't know why she ended up all alone in a shelter, but she definitely doesn't belong there! Mama Mia is absolutely ADORABLE with that irresistible face! She would look great walking next to you through the city while you find an outdoor brunch spot, would love to join you on those weekend hikes you love so much, or maybe play in the yard with the kids. She might even like to snooze on the couch watching Lady and the Tramp - given her name, I bet her favorite scene is when they eat spaghetti together! She gets along well with other dogs so she would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention. Whatever your lifestyle, Mama Mia just wants to be a part of it!

Like most shelter dogs, Mama Mia may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at laurenm@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
