Bernie Warner-Smith's Story...
Thank you Warner-Smith Family!
Former adopters Amy Warner and Jim Smith, Webster businessman and owner of Smith Auto and Collision in Webster for over 35 years, made a generous donation to sponsor this life-saving transport. "We had been looking for a special-needs golden for a long time. We saw Rusty’s video on the Joyful Rescues website and knew he was the one for our family. Rusty is the kindest, sweetest boy and gets along well with his 4 feline siblings, his Jack Russell mix sister, Ziggy and his human sister, Maddie. We are so grateful to the Joyful Rescues group for our Rusty and for all of the hard work that they do. For all those thinking about special-needs adoption, please consider these pets, they are the most loyal and kind." ~ Amy Warner and Jim Smith
The "B" Warner-Smith puppies were born about March 2, 2017 and maybe top out in the 40-45 lb. range, but truly we are really guessing. One of them is clearly a Catahoula mix illustrated by the odd color and square'ish spots. One sure appears to look Beagle'ish and the other may look a bit Aussie'ish. Please understand that we are really guessing. They are sweet, fun, and funny pups that are doing amazing and ready for their forever homes! This is really all we know so far as the southern shelter doesn't ask questions when humans drop off their pets because they feel it is embarrassing as so often it is due to finances in this poverty stricken area. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $375.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
