Meet Grover! Grover is a tail wagging, kisses giving, lap loving 37-40 pound 1-2 year old hound/retriever mix. Don't let the white face fool you, Grover is a young, energetic pup who really would love to find a home where he can get the attention that he deserves.
Grover lost his way in rural North Carolina and we can not understand why his people did retrieve such a sweet dog from the rural NC shelter. PetConnect has come to his rescue and has brought him to the DC area to find his new home that will adore him furever. Grover warms up quickly to his new environment, makes human and K9 friends easily and is up for walks and learning new things! He loves his ears scratched, head patted and really any human attention he gets. Grover is good with kids, although he is young and may be a bit excitable for the youngest ones unless they are dog savvy. He thinks he's a lap dog and would love to cuddle up with his people. Grover is learning house rules and working hard on his potty training, he even settled down to get brushed and nails clipped. He loves walks outside and his favorite pass time is looking out the window. He is such a happy boy his tail is blurry in the pictures from all the wagging. Life is sweet outside the shelter but it would be even sweeter with a loving family! Will you make this pup the happiest dog in the world and give him a great reason to wag that tail?!
Grover is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find a family to love! The adoption fee for Grover is $295, which includes routine vetting, spay/neuter and heartworm treatment.
***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
