My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dedicated to being your feline friend!

Meet the four “Presidential” cats looking for their forever homes – Clinton, Kennedy, Reagan and Roosevelt.

With the help of a good Samaritan, these felines were living in their own cat community. But their caregiver was concerned about their welfare and future and brought them into the Coronado Animal Care Facility.

The cats have very distinctive personalities and each embodies some of the presidential traits of confidence, dignity, dedication, pride, leadership and friendship.

Clinton is very confident and is the leader of the family. He is the most outgoing of the siblings and immediately greets visitors to their cat community room. He loves to play and has lots of inquisitive energy.

Kennedy has an air about him of quiet dignity. He is not as forthcoming as Clinton, but gladly accepts and loves pets and attention. After a couple of minutes of interaction, he comes out of his cubby and winds around you letting you know just how much he enjoys your company.

Roosevelt is dedicated to Kennedy and will follow him and take his lead. He too enjoys pets, but is a bit more cautious than Kennedy. He is a quiet soul who offers his companions true friendship.

The only female in the family, Reagan is the most serious of the cats. She is Clinton’s right hand paw and you can frequently find them curled up together. She tends to watch the boys as they play and interact with visitors, rather than joining in. But, she does accept pets warmly as long as you approach her quietly and with respect.

All four of these lovely cats are ready to be your dedicated feline friend and companion. Do you have room in your heart and home for one – or two – of these “Presidential” cats?

You can meet the cats at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting any of the “Presidential” cats, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please call Bob at 619-840-9727.
