TEDDY's Story...
Meet Teddy! He is a darling 10 pound, 4 year old sweetie. He came to the shelter as a little lost boy on 05/08 and really does not want to spend too much more time living in a cage. He wants a home with a lap to sleep on or someone to carry him around with them. He does walk well on a leash so he does not have to be carried, he just likes it.
He has been neutered, will be tested for heart worms and micro-chipped when adopted. He is waiting to meet you in cage T-4 and his ID# is 595878.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TEDDY, a Marietta Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
