Toya's Story...
Toya is a 6 year old black female with natural ears. She came to rescue because her family couldn't afford to continue to care for her. Toya is a happy-go-lucky girl who is a very young six year old, she has the energy of a puppy. She loves kids, cats, and other dogs and will only be place in a home with other dogs. Toya loves companionship and is very lonely by herself. She is not destructive when left along, just sad. She can be left home alone all day and is the perfect lady. Toya walks well on a leash and is generally a very well-behaved lady. She is sometimes slow to warm up to new men, but a few minutes and some encouragement and she is fine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toya, a York Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in York, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in York paves the way for another one to be saved.
