Shay is an adorable 8 year old dachshund that is hoping that her new home will be much better than her last. She came to us after being turned in by her owner because Shay went blind. It may be all for the best though because although Shay does not require any medical treatment for her blindness, she did need treatment for some other things that were neglected, including her teeth. Shay had several teeth removed and is feeling like a brand new pup now! She is overweight, but is otherwise healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start in life. Shay gets around perfectly fine and is well adapted to her blindness, so please don't let that deter you from meeting this little princess. She is super sweet and friendly, and she is very well behaved too. She walks perfectly on a leash and wants nothing more than to be with you. Shay would love a home where she will get lots of exercise to help with her weight, and a home where she will get plenty of love and attention too, like she deserves. She doesn't mind other well behaved dogs that will not cause her any grief and never met anyone she didn't like. Shay will truly warm your heart if you give her the chance. File#27198 4/12/17
