Bo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Bo's Story...
Bo is a handsome 3 year old, 23 pound boy. Bo likes to be the man in charge... he acts bigger than he really is! If you know schnauzers, you know what I'm talking about. He absolutely adores people...especially once you become "his person!" He will be loyal to you and stick by your side. He loves to sit next to you and give hugs and kisses. Bo LOVES bath time, playing with his toys, and being with HIS human. He isn't a huge fan of other dogs or cats so we are requiring that he be the only pet in the family. Older kids are preferred (10+). Bo is crate trained, mostly house broken (very few accidents), and does well on a leash.

Bo does have chronic skin issues which will require allergy medication from time to time as well as medicated baths.

If you are interested in adopting Bo, please fill out an application at He is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. He is currently being fostered in TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. Transport runs to the following locations: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; and Willington, CT.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Hagerstown Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
