  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: Ca201704063
  • Hair: Short
We have cats and kittens of all ages, sizes, colors, and hair lengths. Some are shy, some are sassy. Others are affectionate, begging to be held. All are incredibly deserving of a second chance at a first-rate life. Our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV tested negative, and on flea preventative prior to adoption. At the Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark, we believe it is more important for our staff and volunteers to spend time with the animals rather than writing about them, so we invite you to come on over to meet our wonderful cats and kittens. You can discover their individual personalities first hand which is a much better way to determine who would make the best addition to your family!

The shelter is open to the public Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm and Thursday and Friday from 11 am - 7 pm. To help cover the cost of the above mentioned medical care, our adoption fees are as follow: Kittens under 6 months: $150 Cats over 6 months: $125 Purebred Cats: $150 Cats over 7 years: $25 until August 21st and don't forget to ask about our 2-for-1 Special!

About Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark

About Our Shelter...

At the Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark we are passionate about ensuring the protection and welfare of all animals in need. This is the legacy of our founder Robert Kleinstuber, who began the shelter in 1959 as a memorial to his beloved dog, Jeff.

Our mission is to protect and serve animals during their greatest time of need, assist our community pets and their people, and offer homeless pets a second chance at a first-rate life. By providing humane education along with free or low-cost resources, we hope to reduce the homeless pet population in our area.

We currently provide animal control impound services for 10 municipalities in Orange & Sullivan Counties and are proud to provide low-cost spay/neuter clinics, adoption and re-homing services, humane education, and community assistance to the tri-state area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter is open to the public Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm, Thursday and Friday from 11 am - 7 pm. We are closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all of our adopters to go through an application process that generally takes about 48 hours to complete. Veterinary references and homeowner/landlord information is requested. If there are other pets in the home, we recommend a meet and greet to assess compatibility. In home visits may be conducted in some situations. Adoption fees vary based on the animals.
