Referral - Bailey in NM's Story...
Bailey is a 6-month old, 38 pound mix, maybe lab, maybe dobby but that is only a guess as to what this wonderful boy is made of. Bailey lost his home when he was about 8-weeks old because he has a malformed right front paw and some other behavior problems typical for a puppy (which by the way have been resolved with training and love). Bailey has seen 2 specialist, dermatological and surgical, and it has been determined he has some blood flow loss to the paw, but he can keep his paw. Bailey needs to wear a bootie when on walks as his large pad is sensitive. He uses all four feet when wearing the bootie and has a minimal limp. Without the bootie, he often resorts to hopping on three legs when walking on bumpy things like wood chips or gravel. Even on three legs, he can move pretty quick and his paw certainly does not hold him back from enjoying life like a normal dog.

Bailey is a very sweet puppy who loves to meet new people, loves to play, and at the end of the day likes to chill out on his dog bed (which will go with him) and watch tv. His foster home has three dogs and three cats and he is great with all of them. Bailey attends doggie day care, and goes to puppy school. Bailey is obsessed with water and loves to put his head under water in the kiddie pool and splash around, we think he would make a great swimmer. Bailey is housetrained, and lets you know when he needs to go outside, and he is crate trained. He has been exposed to children but not really lived with them, but we think he sould be fine

If you are interested in seeing a video of Bailey walking or more pictures please email Mandy at Amanda.su.ting@gmail.com . The Albuquerque Animal Welfare department is willing to work with out of state adopters. His adoption fee is $80 and includes his shots, microchip, and sterilization. Bailey's transportation to Colorado can also be worked out.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Referral - Bailey in NM, a Denver Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
