Katie was rescued from Egypt where she was abandoned on the highway and left crying for help. She is a Baladi dog (a.k.a. an Egyptian street dog), weighs about 55 lbs., and is 5 years old. She has suffered much neglect and was exhausted and so scared. When rescued, it was discovered that she is blind. However, despite all of that, she welcomes attention and affection and has been wagging her tail non-stop! She is currently being treated for Lyme disease and Erlichia. She is just a darling. Katie loves cats and is making progress overcoming her fear of other dogs. She's now ready for a forever home that will love her and protect her.
