My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One More Dog's best kept secret has just emerged in the form of a Keme. What's a Keme you ask? Well, quite literally it means "secret" but our Keme is a 1 year old, blue reverse brindle Mastiff mix. Our 80lb. extraordinary beauty of a girl was found as a stray and brought to a high kill shelter where she quickly contracted a severe upper respiratory infection, She then sat for weeks, waiting for rescue and spending all of her time outside of her cage anxiously looking for the nearest exit. Yet, even while feeling her worst and weighing a mere 60 pounds of the 100lbs she should be at her ideal weight, Keme showed us nothing but love. Now, fully recovered, Keme's personality just gets better and we love her even more...if that is even possible. She remains a total love bug with the world's best wrinkles, perfect for grabbing (gently, of course) to give her kisses. In true Mastiff style she can be stubborn, doing things at her own pace, when the mood strikes. Strong-will aside, our goofy, jowly lady is incredibly affectionate and loves to lean in for snuggles or romp in the grass and then lay down for a good belly rub. Keme has done well with both male and female dogs, though if she goes to a home with canine friends, they should be of the larger variety as she thinks a few swats with her paws is all in good fun and the little guys tend not to agree. Kem has done well with her housebreaking, but she has proven to be a bit mischievous when left to her own devices, so she will do best being crated (and doesn't mind it) when alone. Keme is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She was also diagnosed with entropian (a condition in which the eye lids turn in causing the eyelashes to rub directly against the eye) in both eyes and undergone corrective surgery.
