Meet Addy!
This sweet girl is almost a year old and 34lbs.

Addy is a bit on the shy side but, after getting to know you (it won't take more than 15 minutes) she is all love, cuddles and extremely loyal. All she wants to do is please her people. This beautiful girl is picking up what is expected of her real quick.

She sits by the door when she needs to go out. She sleeps in her kennel overnight and if you forget she needs to go out in the morning, she'll bark to let you know its time. She walks pretty well on a leash, sits and comes when called. On those rainy days, she'll wait until you wipe/dry her paws before going back indoors -- how very considerate of her.

She likes her squeaky toys, her ball, chew bones, having her belly rubbed and PEANUT BUTTER!!! she also enjoys life's comforts... a big soft fluffy dog bed and being covered with a blankie!

Addy currently lives with 2 other dogs; a female and a male. After a week of living, walking and eating with them, she realized they'd be fun to play with too!

For some reason Miss "adorable" Addy photographs differently than she actually looks HA! So, come meet her in person and see for yourself how fabulous she is! You won't want to leave without her.

Addy’s adoption fee is $250 and she is being fostered in southeastern Wisconsin. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.

About Canine Cupids

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Cupids' mission is to protect and improve the lives of Milwaukee's homeless, neglected, and exceptional needs dogs and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

Canine Cupids is a Certified 501c3 Organization
DATCPLicense: 288601-DS

Canine Cupids work with animals, within our community and throughout our organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.

Because every animal deserves to be loved, we feel it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We strive to work withMADACC as well as other rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets within Milwaukee.

At Canine Cupids our founding principle is that "ALL dogs are individuals and deserve to be regarded as such". This mindset is core to the belief system at The Animal Farm Foundation. It assists in securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs - as well as all dogs, regardless of size, color, etc.

"We owe it to all dogs to see them for who they really are, free of prejudice, stereotypes, and assumptions that are based on a known pedigree, a breed label guess, physical appearance, or their past history."*

"Breed related traits are not guaranteed. If a dog does conform to breed traits that does not mean a dog isn't an individual! Breed characteristics may contribute to a dog?s individuality, but they are not the whole story." *

Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a pooch by its stereotype!
