Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals. If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below. We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet! 6 yr old CHATO has once again found himself living in a shelter. I knew this boy a long time ago before he was adopted out the first time. He was young and jumpy and energetic and playful and, well, everything a young dog can be! He was also friendly and loved other dogs. Finally he was adopted out and 4 yrs later, I spotted him in a cage again at the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center! I couldn't believe it! He seems exactly the same as when I last saw him. I discovered he had apparently gotten into a fight with another dog at his residence so he was brought to us to try and find him a new home. I know he has lived with other dogs for a long time now so although I do not know the circumstances of the fight he got into, supervision is always a must, not to mention the fact that dogs, like people, can get into arguments. Chato is still young and energetic, even as an adult. He needs daily exercise, daily playtime and daily attention. He's loving and friendly to everyone, kids included, yet because he tends to get excited and jump around, with or without his mouth wide open, older children are probably best. Chato is great on a leash, he loves to go for walks and he is a great running partner. Chato and I did agility together a while ago and he was fantastic from day 1! He is quick to catch on and eager to please you, his human. He's smart and wants to learn new things. Chato is house trained to boot! Currently Chato is residing in our big dog kennel in adoption so please just ask to meet him! His id number is 1704-0487. Thank you for considering adoption!
