Penny's Story...
Don't let that serious face fool you - Penny is a very sweet and playful kitty. She is spayed and up to date on all her vet care and is ready for a new home. She is a gentle girl and loves attention. We are calling her Penny but she is worth a million! She would prefer to be your only cat and not live with small children. Penny likes to be patted a few times then likes people to take a break. She is happy to curl up in the sun and get her beauty sleep several times a day.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:
http://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms
If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Medfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
