*BUDDY* a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 10-27-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date, As of this Month this Pooch is still at the shelter in need of rescue

Buddy is around 8 Months old, Size: Medium 26-60 lbs, more towards 50ish pounds, walks on a leash, sat when I asked, he appears to be sweet & loving, active, playful, pretty well mannered at the shelter, may like to attend obedience classes, Buddy's owner said that he got along well with dogs, cats, children, loves to play fetch, house trained and will be very much missed and is a special dog in need of a companion to love.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Buddy's mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paws and giving little kisses and hugs. Buddy appeared to past the test with no problems, he's pretty active and a super sweet pup with a lot of fun & love to give his new companion & family. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Buddy to play and be safe in. We feel he may make an outstanding active fun loving loyal family member & companion . If you wish, Buddy can be tested around Dogs & Cats here at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy*URGENT*, a Grass Valley Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
