Meet Guerin. Guerin is a traditionally marked 4 year old male Border Collie with a semi rough coat with prick ears.
Please do not apply for Guerin because he is handsome and smart. Only serious applicants with previous Border Collie experience will be considered.
Guerin is smart and very loyal. He is a bit portly at the moment, as he is about 10 lbs. overweight. He will need to be conditioned to walk 2 times a day at 20 minute intervals before any serious exercise regimen is considered for him. Guerin is very motivated and will work for food, which is what caused his weight problem. Guerin is a soft dog and responds really well to training with positive reinforcement. Guerin is house trained, obedience trained, walks well on a leash. He travels well in the car, but he absolutely hates being crated.
Guerin cannot be placed in a home with children. Although he is fine around other dogs, Guerin is not a dog’s dog. He is rather indifferent with them and just ignores them. He is looking to forge that deep bond with his person and wants nothing more than to hang out with his person. He has been a pampered pooch his entire life and we believe he would be happiest being placed as an only dog.
