My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Life isn’t always fair for everyone but those who persevere and still smile and love are to be celebrated!

For Banner, a quick movement of a hand near his face makes him wince, a sign that he may have been abused in the past. However, this hasn’t dampened his naturally happy and ready-to-please nature!

Outpouring of love! This says it all! Banner is so full of love and eagerness to please all humans. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and rarely jumps on you unless you want wet kisses! He’ll try to engage you in play by bringing you toys, especially to play his favorite game of tug-of-war! He’s good with people of all ages and is extremely social with them. Dogs require a gentle and slow introduction but once acquainted, he’ll happily play with them!

Knows the drill! Banner understands his humans well, to the point that he helps you put on his harness by sitting patiently and lifting his paw that needs to go through the loop! Food is the great almighty reward and he will do what it takes to get it! He already knows sit, wait, and go to your spot and, with more treats, he’s ready to learn more! Banner responds well to correction. House-trained, crate-trained, and well-behaved home alone…could you really ask for more?! He’s still working out a few kinks with his leash manners but overall, he’s great!

Laid back. Banner is content with a short walk. Running is not on this boy’s agenda. Banner would like living with doggie siblings but felines are a no go. If you can simply love Banner as Banner and ensure that he not only gets the patient and enduring affection he needs, as well as continue with his training, he will be a wonderful family member. He just wants to be a part of your family and join you on adventures, especially to the park or pool!
