My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sally is an adorable, blue dobie/pit bull mix who deserved a second chance. She was in an animal shelter with a terrible case of demodectic mange and major skin infections. Her skin was in such bad shape that we couldn’t even tell what color she was! She was only about 1 year old and she responded beautifully to treatment, her skin healed and her fur grew back. Sally is now the picture of health and ready to find a new home! She is fairly well behaved and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home though she still displays some puppy chewing on those hard to resist items like remote controls. She behaves really well in a crate though and has no problem being left alone. She can be fearful of some new people, especially ones that push into her personal space too quickly but she does warm up and becomes quite affectionate with people she knows. She loves water and swimming too! Sally plays great with submissive, playful dogs of either gender but she doesn’t like being bullied and won’t put up with dominant, pushy dogs. Sally is in a foster home in southern California but she can be viewed at the rescue most Saturdays or we can arrange a meet and greet on another day of the week.
