Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kira!! She is a beautiful girl who will thrive in a patient, loving and gentle home. She is 5 years old and was turned into us originally because her owners said they could no longer care for her. She was an outdoor dog so her training and even socialization was limited but in her short time with us, she has already learned a whole lot. She now can be flirty and playful with larger male dogs and social with other some other dogs too though occasionally she will throw out some attitude when she is insecure. She is getting used to being in a house and she likes the comfort it brings. Kira seeks out affection and will "sing" if she feels abandoned so a home that will make her a part of their daily lives would be ideal. She does have a bite history so even though she has always been sweet with us, we cannot place her in a home with kids or lots of visitors. Her insecurity can get the best of her when she is overwhelmed so sometimes she needs space and a safe spot to retreat. Kira can also be quite the watchdog and will certainly let strangers on the other side of the fence know they are unwelcome. We know that Kira needs a very specific home but we hope she gets the chance to live out the rest of her life in comfort and surrounded by love.
