Marilyn's Story...
If you are interested in meeting one of our puppies, please fill out an application at www.heartsforhoundsrescue.org

We have 6 of these adorable, chunky puppies ready for homes of their own! These guys are 10 weeks old and are Boxer/Pit Bull mixes. They are so sweet, laid-back, and smart puppies. They are looking for families with ample time for playing, training and socializing!

Our puppies have had their first round of shots, been vetted, dewormed, and microchipped. Because of their young age, they will need to continue with their puppy shot series for 2 more months. There will also be an additional spay/neuter contract to ensure they are altered by 6 months of age.

New families should be ready to start puppy classes for socialization and training. Starting puppy school early helps create a well rounded, well behaved adult dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marilyn, a Virginia Beach Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
