Facts about Cocobean

  • Breed: Golden Retriever Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11372701-17-035

Cocobean is a happy, good natured and mellow 6 year old Golden mix. He was surrendered to the shelter due to family changes. He's a little overweight and strong (because of his large size at 81 pounds); not at all wild, just strong and he knows his basic commands. As you can see from his pictures, he knows sit and shake quite well. Cocobean is the perfect age, young enough to still be active and old enough to go with the flow.  He would do best in a home with no small dogs, cats or young children. This adorable lad deserves a loving family who will give him the security of a forever home. If you have room in your heart and home for this lovable guy, ask for Cocobean.

If you are interested in Cocobean, please visit our webpage at http://www.arizonagoldenrescue.org/  and complete an Online Foster/Adoption Application to begin the process, or send an e-mail to info@arizonagoldenrescue.org  if you have questions and wish to be contacted.

Prior to adoption, all AGR dogs are given a full vet exam, including valley fever and heartworm tests, brought up to date on all vaccinations, given a microchip, neutered or spayed, and treated for any medical problems.

About Arizona Golden Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Arizona Golden Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly-Golden mixes that may have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted or surrendered by their owners due to previously unforeseen circumstances, and find new, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also microchipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.

Our Adoption Process...

Please note that all adoptable dogs remain on the website until their adoptions are finalized. As hard as we try to screen the adoptable dogs and their new potential "Forever Home", there is always the possibility that the FWITA (Foster With Intent To Adopt) and the adoptable dog are not compatible and then the dog would return to adoptable status"

Application must be submitted; can be downloaded from website. Home evaluation is done. Once approved, applicant must wait for placement of dog. If fostering with intent to adopt, applicant must pay membership fee (minimum $25 for single, $40 for household) and dog's adoption fee, which ranges from $350 for 0-2-year-old, to $325 for 2-5, $300 for 5- 9 and $250 for over 9. Organization covers all vet costs while dog is in foster care and until adoption is finalized.
