My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB April 20, 2011.

HI! My name is Peto and I am the most gorgeous cat in the universe. Wouldn't you agree? With my baby blue eyes and my snow white fur, I am irresistible. I also love to give kisses, lots and lots of kitty cat kisses!

I really love looking out the window. My new home needs to have a window that I can bird watch from. I love watching the birds so much I jump up and up on the glass trying to get them!

I also love following my foster mommy around. I usually have to supervise her and tell her how to do things properly! She thinks it's so funny, but I just like to be the boss. I think this is why I don't other cats; they get in the way of how I like to rule my home - so I need to be the only feline in my family. Children scare me, so my new home should only be with adults who want realize how handsome I am, and want to dote on me all the time.

I was put into the shelter because my owner was sick and could not take care of me any more. I was put in a small cage with lots of other noises and smells; it really, REALLY scared me. Because of this I got a bit angry and bit someone. I feel really bad about it. Luckily Toronto Cat Rescue got me out of there. After spending some chill out time at the vet clinic, I went to my foster home. I was pretty vocal at first and didn't want to be touched. With lots of treats and kindness I let my foster parents rub my head. I have been all purrs every since.

Sometimes I find too much love overwhelming and that makes me grumpy. I used to bite when I had had enough love, but now I just pull away or stop purring. I really need a new home that can read my body language and know when I need some alone time and not be mad if I revert to my old ways in the beginning because once we get to know each other I am a very loving, sweet and funny guy! Give me a chance and you will see.

Being in foster care has really helped and now I am a pretty sweet guy. I look forward to my foster parents coming home every day and meow until they give me pets and love. I like to play with string and other toys and happily run and jump! I also love treats and will eat them from your hand once we get to know each other.

My foster family shares: "Peto is a very special guy. He is funny and quirky and loves to chat. He is very curious and loves to explore all the nooks and cabinets around the house. He loves cheek rubs and have a great big purr for such a small guy. Every once in a while you will get a special little kiss, which is his way of showing his approval. We are so lucky to have the chance to foster this special guy and we know that with continued time and love he will flourish into the king he is." Please welcome Peto into your family today!
