Gowan is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix and about 7 months old. We don't know details of what his history was as a baby, but his vet suspects his leg was broken at some point and allowed to heal on its own, which caused that leg to turn in, as well as the other leg that he probably favored while he was healing. He has spent the last weeks in a splint in an attempt to help straighten his leg. But believe me when I tell you it doesn't slow him down one bit. He is absolutely full of himself and truly believes he was born to entertain. Sometimes we feel that is pretty accurate. He's also a love bug, soaking up every bit of love and attention he can get. Gowan adores toys and is just sure that every toy that comes into his room is for him. He's been staying in a front room since we've had him so that we can keep an eye on him. And yes, that means he is a little spoiled, but we knew he had some making up of lost puppy time to be done when he first came to us, so we have obliged him. He's a talker and will stop at not much to get your attention. Our sweet little guy is also a very resilient pup who hasn't spent one minute feeling sorry for himself.
Gowan's family will need to understand that he'll always have a unique gate, and weather or exertion may cause him some aches and pains.
Gowan's adoption fee of $250 includes vetting (shots, neutering, etc) as well as his transportation fee. He is currently in the shelter in Jackson, MS. He will transport once he has an approved adopter.
