My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Spaniel / Dachshund mix
Age: 1 yr.
Weight: 10 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: yes
Energy level: medium
Good with men/strangers: yes
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: Chulo has a long term heart condition (premature supraventricular heartbeats) which doesn't prevent him from living a normal life.

Additional Info: Chulo is a happy, affectionate and gentle dog with lots of love and kisses to give. He likes everybody especially women, children and other dogs (and is even respectful towards pet birds). Chulo is treat motivated. He is training to understand the commands “sit”, “stay”, “come here” and “watch me” - and he is learning fast! He is smart and eager to please. Chulo is a pleasure on car rides (he usually just falls asleep or sometimes watches the views).

He Is housetrained and is also comfortable using pee pee pads indoors. Chulo does have separation anxiety but he is getting better. He barks for a minute or two when his person leaves but quickly settles down. He likes to walk with a Gentle Leader harness. This beautiful dog is ready for his forever home.
