Hi! I am Groot!
I am just 9 months old and 21#. My foster mom swears that I'm part billy goat because I don't run, I hop like a little goat when I play and boy oh boy, do I love to play!.. You wouldn't know it to look at me, but I was really sick, really really sick... I couldn't walk and had ouchie sores all over. I am one tough cookie and fought to stay here. I'm all better now and ready for my own family. I am kid tested and doggy approved. I'm good with kitty cats too, but sometimes I annoy them to the point that they don't like me very much... teeheehee. I am crate trained, 90% house broken and walk on a leash like a big boy. My foster family will let me stay loose in the house for short periods of time when they aren't home. I behave and don't potty or chew on anything. Come meet me. Maybe we'll fall in love and I can take you home.

Are you interested in adopting Groot or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Groot.
