Cassidy's Story...
This sweet little girl is Cassidy and she is looking for a loving, responsible and permanent home. Cassidy has rather limited vision and she may go completely blind in time. Cassidy has shown herself to be really reactive around other dogs, likely because of that limited vision. Due to this reactivity, she needs to live in a dog free environment. She doesn't do well with dogs in public either so she won't be a dog park kind of dog and you will have to be careful with her on walks. We also think it will be best for her to live in a home without cats. Cassidy is very affectionate and could live with older, respectful children. Depending on your experience with dogs, we may require that she be signed up for positive, reward-based training classes before going to her new home. Cassidy has been pretty quiet here but she is a hound mix so we can't guarantee that she won't bay once she gets comfortable in her new home. If you are interested in meeting Cassidy, please fill out an application at the front desk.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassidy, a Bellingham Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
