Callista is a loving, delightful pup! She was found as a stray with a heavy chain around her neck, but she is such a friendly, outgoing, happy dog despite what must she had been through. Callista's most defining quality is her happiness! She is always ready for any type of adventure or any new game or opportunity to play with you or another dog. She has a delightful puppy energy that is both goofy and endearing. She loves to have fun! Callista is also very friendly to the people and dogs she meets. She gets along very well with the resident dogs at her foster home. Callista is still learning her puppy manners, but seems very trainable. She would make a great addition to an active household or a home with a resident dog that would be happy with a playful sibling as Callista loves other dogs. Callista is a loyal and loving pup who is more than happy to cuddle after playtime and give you lots of kisses! Apply today to meet Callista!
If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.

City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).
Adoption fees // Dogs - $395 (including puppies) unless noted; $200 for senior dogs // Cats - $150 (unless otherwise noted)
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis
Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
