My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter is our 4-5 month German shepherd mix puppy. Walter weighs 25 lbs now and we believe he will be a medium to large dog. He is beyond cute! Super smart with tons of personality. Walter loves all the other foster dogs, big and small in this foster home and loves to play with the cats too!
When you see Walter your heart just melts at the cuteness. Walter loves hugs and kisses and really likes to be held and snuggled but is also very outgoing and gregarious. The foster family is working on potty skills.

If you are interested in giving Walter a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you.

Walter's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the neutering, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention, vet examination, certificate of health and transport fee.

ALL OF OUR RESCUE DOGS START THEIR JOURNEY IN TENNESSEE

Walter lives with a foster family just outside of Memphis, TN. He will travel to his new home by professional pet transport. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to the Chicago area.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a real home.
