Meet Tracy! This sweet and happy girl is one of the smartest and most affection dogs you will ever meet! Tracy was rescued from a high kill shelter by a wonderful sponsor who has ensure that she will find only the best home by providing her with all the tools necessary for her success.

Tracy is a young dog, around 2-3 years of age and is believed to be a cattle dog or shepherd mix. There may even be a little husky in her as well! She is a fun loving, playful girl who enjoys her humans above all else. She is adventurous in spirit and loves the outdoors. She would make an exceptional companion for those who love to go hiking, running, biking, or any other outdoor sport and activity. She is extremely smart, and learns commands quickly. Tracy has already completed a few training programs and has even gone through some service dog training! She did not complete her program because it was determined she would much rather be a companion animal, but that doesn't mean she didn't learn a list of commands along the way! She would make a great addition to any family of any shape or size.

She gets along great with other social dogs, and enjoys going on pack walks, going to daycare or having fun at the dog park. Because of her breed, she does not get along well with dominant energies and would prefer a more laid back canine friend. She isn't a big fan of cats, so a home without the feline kind would be preferred. Tracy has never met a stranger, and gets along with all humans she meets so a family of any size with children of all ages can enjoy Tracy and her amazing personality.

Tracy is great on leash, housebroken and crate trained. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and current on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. For more information on how to adopt Tracy, please contact us at

About K&M Canines Rescue Portland

About Our Rescue Group...

WE ARE LOCATED IN HOUSTON TX BUT PROVIDE AMAZING PETS FOR OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS! We are a group that focus primarily on the rehabilitation and adoption of healthy, balanced dogs. We place our dogs based on behavior and what is best for both canine and adopter versus moving out due to space. We are looking for the true forever home for our animals, not the next stop along the way. We serve all states within the United States and Canada. Our adoption fee covers cost of flight, health care required for travel and any additional medical care required before flight, a new crate and new bed. Our process takes approximately 3 days to complete once started. We offer skype as a way for our out of state adopters to learn more and see in person for themselves the dog they are interested in and prepare themselves and their families for the arrival of their new furry member.
