My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Angel is an amazing Golden/Pyrenees mix. She is doing amazing in her training in New Leash on Life at Gaston Correctional. She is just as happy go lucky girl, A little shy at first but warms up quickly. FurBabies is in partnership with The NC Department of Public Safety and the New Leash on Life Program and Angel is excelling in her training. It is a WIN/WIN/WIN... A WIN for the Inmates because they have the opportunity to work with the animals, which gives them a purpose and an opportunity for employment when they are released from prison, a WIN for the dog because it learns all of the commands to earn it’s Canine Good Citizenship Certificate which is the first step in becoming a therapeutic dog and most schools, nursing homes and other locations allow dogs with Good Citizenship Training to be a part of programs at their facilities, and of course a WIN for the new owner who get and absolutely amazing highly trained rescue dog.
