My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends! My name is Betty and I am a 7 year old Lhasa Apso! I was rescued by AAP from a breeder that made me have too many babies! Phew! I’m so glad I don’t have to do that anymore. Now, I’m ready to kick back, relax, and enjoy life with my own forever family! I am a really sweet natured and adorable girl! I love my humans a lot, and my next favorite thing is the backyard! I love wandering around, sniffing everything, and when I’m feeling spunky, I love to run like the wind! (Well, maybe that is a little exaggeration; my foster mom says I hop like a bunny.) When I hop, I have the biggest grin on my face. I do have medicine for my eyes twice a day that helps them not be so dry. My foster mom says it’s super easy to do since I am so cooperative. Sometimes, I get a hold of a doggie toy and just move it around to different places, just because I can! I’m not too noisy, but when you first get home, if I can’t get to you right away, I might have to sing a bit with my howl to get your attention. I also make noise if I’m not sure where you are…it makes me feel safe to know you are nearby. I’m still working on my potty training, don’t get me wrong, I go potty when I am outside, and if I get to go out a lot, I do better. Other doggie friends are ok with me; but if they are acting to hyper and get in my space too much, sometimes I will give a little growl to let them know they are irritating me. I would prefer any doggie siblings to be calmer like me. I don’t think I would enjoy little humans either. like attention; getting pets, listening to you talk to me, following you around the house; but sometimes, I just do my own thing. I like naps and comfy doggie beds. My foster mom is sure someone is going to love me to bits, just the way I am! Betty is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchiped, de-wormed, had a dental and spayed. Betty’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org
