Facts about Chickpea

  • Breed: Mixed Breed (Medium) Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Chickpea has to be one of the sweetest little dogs at appr 8 months old. She came in with her mom and younger half sister. She was very scared at first not understanding what was happening but she warmed up so quickly and is a happy kissy little girl. She is fairly new so don't know all of her personality but one thing is for sure - she is sweet. She is so curious about squeaky toys - I'm sure she's never had one before. By the looks of them when found I doubt she has been inside before but I find the older pups easier to house train. Unfortunately there is no more room in the house to start working on it for you. Will you give this sweet girl her furever home she so deserves? apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Breed is a best guess.
Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Rescue Road Trips to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $170 adoption and $185 transportation = $355. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

About Katie's Roadside Rescue - Danbury Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

All dogs in KRR will be fully vetted and microchipped prior to adoption. Because of KRR's mission, all dogs must come back to this rescue so they never have to worry about being dumped along the road again.
Katie's Roadside Rescue is a no kill 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission of rescuing dogs left to fend for themselves. If they cannot be caught, at a minimum food and water is left for them. KRR currently does not accept owner surrenders nor do we pull from kill shelters. There seems to be plenty on the side of the road at this time.

Donations and volunteers are the heart and core of KRR and we could not function without the generous help from others. Please click on the PayPal link on the left to make donations toward our dogs' medical and housing needs. All support is greatly appreciated and needed. Financial information is posted on this site so you know where your donations are being used. We are willing at any time to provide you with information and to show that all funds are used for the animals in rescue.

Our Adoption Process...

You fill out an application at www.krrtx.org and we will call your references, vet and then be in touch to answer any questions you have about our dog. We may be able to provide videos and more pictures. We will then move toward the steps of setting up the transport for Delivery!! Simple and Fast!! Adoptions in Danbury are $385 which covers the adoption fee and transportation fee.
