05/2017: Lioness is a sweet girl that has been with us for a while. She gets along with other dogs.

01/2013: The Lioness was a stray that we fed for almost 2 years. She was living in the woods and running with 2 males- Timbo and Jump. A neighbor was threatening to shoot them all so we trapped the males, but could not catch the Lioness. She started sleeping next to the boy's pen at night, and we were finally able to trick her with food to come in and close the gate. Little did we know she was very pregnant and gave birth a few days later.

About Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..

Donate to Our Shelter...

Find the Pay Pal Donate Button on our Petfinder page or Facebook page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
